Last week we took a meal to to the family of a woman I visit teach b/c she'd just had surgery. I had a decent amount of time last week, so I decided to do it right. I baked a cake from scratch for dessert, and for the main dish, made one of our favorite dinners, which involves a lot of different vegetables and a lot of chopping. But I had the time. I also chopped up some fruit and had the kids help me make Jell-O. Our Jell-O stash is at Danny's height, so I had him go pick out a box. He chose green.
When Brent when to Young Men's on Sunday, the son from this family courteously thanked him for the meal we'd brought over. But then another boy asked, "Oh, what did they bring you?"
My friend's son answered, "Mormon Jell-O."
"Anythinge else?"
"Um, ya, some nachos with a lot of ingredients."
Brent thought this was so funny. I'm going to be known for my green Mormon Jell-O. I'm thinking of swearing off Jell-O all together when taking meals. I'm thinking it discredits the rest of the dishes.

How funny! I took dinner to someone last night and took jello. It was orange though :). I'll have to ask their kids what they thought!
