Kids' Scripture Tabs for Book of Mormon, thoughts on FHE

Have I told you I'm a CTR-6 teacher? I am absolutely loving it. I have just four kids in my class, and they're all great, so I have freedom to do some fun things. I'm trying to do some of the same things in our family home evenings.
I wanted to make the scriptures fun for the kids. So I made Book of Mormon tabs so we could do a simple version of scripture chases, and tucked in Gospel Art pictures for them to discover.
Download the tabs here. (The colors match with the seminary time line bookmark you can buy for 25 cents here. The star tab represents when Christ was born and the hand tab represents when He visited the Nephites.) You can download the Gospel Art pictures in small or medium sizes here, thanks to Meck Mom, who put them all together. She also includes a guide of where to put each picture. I put the pictures in both as clear transfer stickers, and then I simply glue-sticked black and white pictures on plain paper on the same page as well because the small pictures were not as detailed. The black and white pictures alone would be enough.
Each tab is foldable, so the word appears on the front and back of the tab.
I also threw together a time line for the Book of Mormon through modern day, so the kids would have an idea of what happened before and after Christ was born, and before and after the restoration of the Gospel. Download it here. Just cut it down the middle and tape all the strips together to make a simple time line. I use the same Gospel Art Pictures to stick on the time line, so the timeline matches their scriptures. Plus I added a few pictures of the manger scene, etc.
A few other things we're adding to our FHEs is this:
Family History Time: We look at pictures of the kids when they were smaller, we read stories of great grandparents, or we call a relative and have them tell us a story.
Thank You Time: We sit around the table while we have our treat and write some thank you notes to people we're grateful to.

After scripture chases, family stories, and all the rest, it doesn't seem to matter as much if my lesson is not full of minute-by-minute excitement. Which is a good thing on busy days.

Amber you never cease to amaze me. What a way to take on a calling! I was just thinking I'd take a look at your conference ideas and saw this new post. What a great idea!

Thanks Cherie! That means a lot coming from my amazing SIL! I just made a variation on my last conference matching game and made it into conference fishing. I think it will be good for the little ones. I'll try to upload it soon.
